- Power of the chains is not challenged

The Norwegian Independent Meat and Poultry Association (KLF) is disappointed about the members of the board that has been appointed to investigate the power of the grocery chains I Norway. – The industry is badly represented, says the managing director of KLF, Dag Henning Reksnes.
The Government has appointed a board that is to investigate the market power of the chains. The leader of the board is Einar Stensnæs of The Norwegian Christian Conservative Party. Their findings will be presented in November. KLF demands that the board scrutinizes the competitive room between the farmers and the grocery chains. - We feel the pressure both from retail that demands lower prices, and from the farmers that wants higher prices for their produce. It is regrettable that the board does not have a stronger representation of people from the industry, says Reksnes. He says the reason for the board is good, but that the representation in not well suited to the work it needs to get done
